This 100 km trail is located in Killarney Provincial Park and is one of the most rugged trails in Ontario. The trail is diverse with forests, swamps and white quartzite ridges. Fall is one of the most beautiful seasons to hike this trail, as the park’s trees turn their leaves into a colourful palette of red, yellow or orange colours, creating a stunning contrast with the white quartzite rock. When atop of the ridge, the feeling of hiking on a colourful carpet is unforgettable.
Wildlife lovers or ornithology enthusiasts will truly enjoy this classic Ontario wilderness, as the opportunities to view wildlife, such as moose, bear, rough grouse, or birds of prey such as osprey or hawk are plenty.
